Album Review: DJ Audissey – Overdue

I normally don’t start an album review off like this but this time I just had to do it. I don’t even want to do a review on this album because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. This album is just that good. The music on DJ Audissey’s album “Overdue” is the reason why I got into radio years ago. If you don’t have this album then go out to your local music store or get online and buy it on iTunes. There is not one track that I was disappointed with. There is so much soul and flavor to all the songs that it makes you hungry for more. Some songs took me back to my days in High School listening to artists and groups like Jagged Edge, Maxi Priest and Keith Sweat with a hint of Raphael Saadiq and Common. The track  “Internet Love Affair” had me laughing at the speakers in a good way. After all that has been said, the album had great production value. I can type on and on about how good this album is by DJ Audissey but I will not do that. I would rather you go buy this album and listen to it for yourself and tell me my review is wrong. My final thoughts on this album is….Overdue is probably one of the best albums I have heard in the very recent years past.

Overall Album Rating: 9.5/10
